A significant aspect of this transformation is learning to advocate for yourself from a place of empowerment. People who have recognized their worth no longer resort to people-pleasing. They communicate their needs and desires clearly and are not afraid to step away from situations or relationships that are disrespectful or harmful. This shift is indicative of a deep-rooted self-esteem, replacing the previous drive to tolerate mistreatment due to fear of loneliness or to prove worth to others.
